Paris at night

We were prepared for the Paris Metro having bought a book of metro tickets from the buffet car on the Eurostar.  A ten minutes journey took us from Gare du Nord to Les Halles. At Les Halle's we went looking for a meal.
It was a damp evening but the glowing cavern of Les Halle's looked spectacular. There are shops and cafes at ground level with the Metro, train station and a carpark underneath.
We found a friendly restaurant that served Flammekueche. These are very thin, delicate pizza with vegetable or meat toppings and a little cheese. We could have gone for all you could eat like most of the other customers. However, 1 flam and a salad where as much as we could eat. See Flammekueche

Centre Pompidou

A short distance from Les Halle's is the Centre Pompidou with is galleries, library, cafe and restaurant. As it was late we just rode the red caterpillar up the side to see the nighttime views of Paris.
We could see L'Hotel de Vile, Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower beautifully lit up. Time was getting on so we headed back to Chatelet Les Halle's RER station to get our train to Boussy Saint George.
